Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 29, 2026

Claude Academy (“Claude Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website, create an account, or take any of our courses (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect information that helps us deliver and improve the courses, manage your account, and communicate with you.

  • Account information. Name, email address, password (hashed), profile details, and authentication tokens from sign-in providers (such as Google) when you create an account.
  • Billing information. When you purchase a subscription or course, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive limited billing details such as your name, country, and the last four digits of your card. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Learning activity. Course progress, module completion, quiz answers, project submissions, certificates earned, and other interactions with the curriculum.
  • Communications. Messages you send to support, feedback you submit, and email opens or clicks for transactional and marketing emails (when permitted).
  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring pages, and pages viewed. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the courses and platform.
  • Process payments, send receipts, and manage your subscription.
  • Track your progress, issue certificates, and personalize your learning path.
  • Send transactional messages (account, billing, security) and, if you opt in, marketing updates and new course announcements.
  • Improve the Service through analytics, debugging, and user-experience research.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. We may use third-party analytics providers (such as a privacy-respecting analytics tool) to measure aggregate traffic and engagement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Service works.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help us run the Service, including hosting (Vercel), payments (Stripe), email delivery, authentication, and analytics. These providers access your information only to perform their work for us.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Claude Academy, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent. Any other sharing will occur only with your explicit consent.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account at any time. We may retain certain records (such as billing records or content required for compliance) for a longer period as required by law.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also:

  • Update your profile information from your account settings.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
  • Cancel your subscription from your billing portal at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest where supported, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you of material breaches as required by law.

8. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
